Transportation Information
The island is connected primarily by a single highway system, making personal transportation important for those who work or run errands outside of the area they reside. Gas prices typically range from $5–$6 per gallon. It is also important to keep in mind that the only way to travel off island is by airplane.
The Kaua’i Bus is the island’s only method of public transportation which operates select routes from Hanalei to Kekaha Monday through Saturday.
